Rupert is a partner in our Property department and joined Solomon Taylor & Shaw in April 2007.
Rupert acts on a wide variety of commercial property transactions including purchases, sales, leases, licences, and refinancing, as well as acting on residential property sales, purchases, and leases.
Rupert’s clients value his supportive approach at all stages of a transaction and his ability to explain and deal with complex issues in a clear and efficient way. His breadth of experience means his workload at any one time is from a broad range of property sector clients, including investors, private individuals, and lenders.
Recent work includes advising:
a developer on the acquisition of part of a commercial building site with secured lending, and the onward sales of residential plots on long leases following conversion of the building to flats
a supermarket shop tenant on the taking of a new lease of an adjoining shop and the negotiation of ancillary licences from both shops’ landlords for opening the dividing walls so as to combine into one large retail space
a landlord of an office park on the lettings of individual units within the office estate complex
